In the year of 2009 I was given a challenge to simplify my life. It's harder than I thought.
Easy and simple are more complicated than I imagined and what I realized is my life is more complex than when I first started.
Maybe like me, you need to get back to the basics and get off this merry go round. I am in no way suggesting that we renounce our faith, it's just all the layers of stuff that we have been added to make us- well more acceptable to our audience. After 26 years I have learned that people will seek prayer more so from Prophet Tom verses just plain Tom. I am guilty of allowing people to think this only because in hindsight I didn't realize what I was doing it. The man behind the title is still the same, yet people prefer having a man with a title praying for them as if the title gives us more credibility when in actuality it just carries a greater responsibility for public service.
My ability to pray is just as credible without the title and yet people will still chase titles I can't stop this but what I can do is try to get back to the basics and something more simple without the titles Philippians 4:6,Matthew 6:6
If you wish to have me "Tom" pray for you all you have to do ask and I will do what everyone else does, pray for you.
I am still an ordained minister and yes I still walk in the offices Father has graced me with, but often I miss just being me, Tom.
